Differences between closed alpha, beta and release versions of Typinator
Closed Beta versions are only available for a small user group and are strictly confidential. Offizial Beta versions work almost the same as release versions and require a valid license key. If your current release license is valid, it will also work with the beta. If not, we can provide a temporary testing key.
Key differences:
Expiration: Alpha, Beta versions expire after a set date.
Updates: Closed Alpha updates are only available on manual install. Official Beta releases are available via the most current Typinator version in the Settings.
Language: Some beta builds may be English-only until the interface is finalized.
Documentation: The included user guide may be incomplete or refer to the latest release version.
Beta Info: A “Beta Version Read Me” menu item lets you create and view this document anytime.
Logging: Beta versions include additional diagnostic logging to help us investigate issues. Logs can be found in the Console (filter by “Typinator”) and in ~/Library/Logs/Typinator-Beta.
